The Uradome Coast stretches 15 kilometers in Iwami Town, Tottori Prefecture, forming the central sector of San'in Kaigan National Park within the UNESCO Global Geopark San'in Kaigan Geopark. Designated a core geosite, the coast is a ria coastline carved by Sea of Japan wave erosion into Cretaceous granite about 80 million years old, later uplifted and reshaped by sea-level change about two million years ago, producing white sandy beaches interspersed with islands, sea caves, and gateway rocks. Seawater transparency ranks among Japan's clearest with visibility 15 meters in summer. Uradome pleasure cruise operates 40 minutes circling islands Nato-Goshima, Johara Beach, Sengan Matsushima pine-clad granite islet, Kamogatari Coast, and Ajirigasaki, observing blue cave grottoes and columnar jointing.
