Ganmon Gate within Notokongo coast in Shika Town, Hakui District, Ishikawa represents the main symbol of Notokongo scenic stretch 29 km from Fukurako Port to Sekino-hana cape inside Noto Hanto Quasi-National Park, famous since literary epic Zero no Shoten by Seicho Matsumoto using it as climax. The name Notokongo derives from Korean Mt. Kumgang counterpart, meaning scenery comparable to on of Korea's best.
