Mount Inasa, 333 meters west of Nagasaki City, is Japan's legendary night-view mountain. Together with Hakodate and Kobe's Maya, it is one of the Three Great Night Views of Japan, and in 2012 it was certified as one of the World's New Three Great Night Views alongside Monaco and Hong Kong, famed as the 10-million-dollar night view. The multi-level observation deck glows with LED footlights after sunset, while broadcast towers light up romantically. The Nagasaki Ropeway and the Slope Car from the mid-station provide an aerial 360-degree promenade. By day you can see as far as Amakusa and the Goto Islands. Mid-slope Inasayama Park features a 15,000-capacity open-air stage built for the 1990 Nagasaki Expo, where local stars Sadamasashi and Masaharu Fukuyama perform, making it Kyushu's top concert venue. The park also has monkey and deer enclosures. Geologically the trails are pyroclastic with rare Nagasaki-mannengusa flora. The official song Around Mount Inasa is a must-hear at sunset.
